How to split a shipment
⚠️ IMPORTANT: If the segment has already been published to Marketplace, or if it has already been completed, you cannot split a shipment's segment.
The statuses for which splitting a segment is NOT permitted are as follows: Posted, At delivery yard, Delivery appointment confirmed, At destination, Unloading, Unloaded, and Completed
When the segment is in one of the states that allows it to be split, click Split Segment above the map in the segment tab.
When we want to split a segment, me must identify split location, the amount of money, because now it may vary, and, finally, the pickup and dropp-off dates and time.
If a segment that was already assigned to a carrier at a specific cost is split, you may choose to adjust the cost of the original segment being split, since the assigned carrier will now take a different route.
Once we have entered the split point data, the system will have a new segment ready to be assigned to another shipper.
How to duplicate a shipment
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Duplication occurs at the Shipment level, not at the Segment level; however, if a shipment consists of multiple segments or is a multi-stop shipment, all details will be duplicated.
To duplicate a load we need to go to Freight -> Load
We identify the Load we need to access to and click on the Duplicate button.
When we want to duplicate a Load, we need to fill different fields, such as Pickup Number, Invoice Reference Numver, Pickup and Drop-off Dates and Times and, of course, amount and currency.
When everything that's needed is filled out, we finally click on Duplicate Shipment.
**If duplicating a Shipment with 2 or more Segments is required, we need to fill out the pickup and drop-off times and dates of each and every one of the segments.

!! For us to begin changing the status of a Shipment the Driver, Trailer and Tractor fields must be filled out.
How to change a the status of the shipment.
The status changes can either be changed manually or automatically.
**The status change to Dispatch will always be made manually from any of parties involved.
For the manual status changes we go to Freight -> Shipments or Segments - Carrier
We identify the segment we need and click on the Details
We click on the Change status segment button on the upper right corner, above the map.
Finally, we select the required status, we can add related comments and click on Ok.
**The system offers the possibility of the skipping any status of the Load in case its needed, good practices refer of them being 1 by 1.
!! The automatic status changes are through GPS, either by using the Mobile App with a Driver or by a GPS Integration.
Shipment Replacement
How to make a Carrier Replacement in a shipment
The replacement of a Carrier in a Load is a process that consists of Cancelling a segment and creating a new one that's exactly the same without an assigned carrier in order for us to assign a new one. (This usually happens when the first Carrier doesn't not meet the requirements of load capacity anymore)
**The Replace button is only available between the statuses Load Matched (When there's already an assigned carrier) and At Destination.
We go to Freight -> Segments - Carrier
We identify the segment we need and click on Details
We click on the Replace Segment button on the upper right side above the map.
We need to confirm we are sure of Replacing the Segment by selecting Yes.
Finally a new Segment without a Carrier would have been created with the exact same characteristics ready for us to make us of it.
Shipment Cancellation
Canelling a shipment implies that the cancelled segment isn't active on the system anymore and it is not possible to change status.
There are some conditions so the load can be cancelled in the system.
It is not possible to cancel completed loads (unloaded / completed statuses). If the Load is posted to Marketplace it must be unposted first. It is not possible to cancel a segment if its the only one or the last one in the shipment. And, finally, if a whole Shipment is cancelled, all segments must meet the previous requirements.
How to cancel a Shipment
To cancel a load that already meets the previously mentioned requirements we need to go to Freight -> Segments - Carrier
Identify the segment we need and click on Details
If we want to cancel a Load we go to the Load-ID Tab, if we want to cancel only a segment we go to the Segments Tab.
We click on Cancel Shipment / Segment.
We must select a reason and finally confirm we want to cancel the Shipment / Segment.
