Types of Users in Fleet Rocket
Minimum of one user per account
Types of Users in Fleet Rocket
There are three types of users in Fleet Rocket:
- BO users. Users from our company who we hire and use Fleet Rocket to operate our shipments. Here we would also register agents (as this is a role that can be assigned to BO users).
- Regular Users. Users belonging to both carrier and shipper accounts, whom we register and share their credentials with so that they can come and collaborate in operating shipments for us at Fleet Rocket.
- Driver Users. Special users for operators on the move, who will use the mobile app.
Usuarios de Back Office (BO)
We refer to Back Office (BO) as the complete view of the system from within.
We will grant this type of user to:
- The employees of your company who need access to your entire operation.
- External agents of your company, who must have access to your internal operations, but only to those accounts or projects in which they collaborate/are commissioned. In other words, an agent is a BO-type user who is assigned the role of agent.
Remember that depending on your position in the company and your role in the department, the capabilities and options available in your BO may vary.
Regular Users
Regular users refers to all users that we register in our carrier or customer accounts.
Driver Users
The Drivers tab provides an overview of all operators registered in the system.
Let's remember that operators are a special type of user, designed to work on the system on the go from the mobile app version.
Important Notes about Users
Minimum of one user per account
It is mandatory that each account we register in the system, for a shipper or a supplier, has at least one associated user.
When we start the account registration process, we will be asked for our first associated user in the account creation form.
The reasoning is similar to that of the SAT, for example: when a company name is registered with the SAT, at least one human contact is required to represent that company before the SAT, and that person will be responsible for receiving the SAT documentation intended for that company.
Similarly, when we register a company account with Fleet Rocket, the system will ask us to create a first user, who will represent the company and receive notifications and documentation on its behalf.
Various User Access Routes
Users can be accessed and created from several places:
- Your Users menu in the main left-hand menu of the platform.
- Within the accounts, in the contacts tab.
Importance of Roles
Roles are vital for the functioning and security of the system. Remember that when we create a user, we will click on different functions or roles that we will assign to their user account.
It is recommended:
- Appoint a person to be responsible for creating users centrally for your company's employees. For example, only the company director or an IT manager should be able to create users centrally or in a controlled manner, as well as delete them when necessary, in order to maintain order and security of access to your Fleet Rocket.
- That said person or persons in charge are fully aware of the available roles and what functions each role allows, so that they can proceed to create users correctly, with those roles available for the functions they are to perform.
- All company employees should be familiar with roles so that when they try to access a system function and find it inactive or receive a warning message stating that they do not have the necessary role, they know how to identify the problem and correctly address it with the person responsible for users and roles in their organization.
