Introduction to the Dispatcher Role
The Dispatcher role is assigned to a Carrier account user in the system. It allows them to manage loads within the platform (changing a load's status, attaching documents, etc.) as well as establish direct communication with the Collaborator team in the load chat.
Unlike the Operator role (within the mobile app), the Dispatcher role also allows them to submit rates for loads published in the platform's Marketplace and select drivers and equipment for their own loads.
A user's Dispatcher role is defined either by the administrator user of a Carrier account or by a system collaborator when adding a user to the system.
Accessing the Mobile App
Once the Dispatcher role has been assigned to a Carrier user within the system, the next step is to access the mobile app. It can be found in both the App Store for iOS devices and the Play Store for Android devices.

Location
The first and most important permission to configure properly is real-time location. To do this, click Enable Location.
Then click While the app is running.
Then we click While the app is running.
We'll be redirected to the phone's settings, where we'll access the phone's location permissions. There, we'll select the Allow all the time option. (The interface may vary depending on the phone model.)
Once we select this option, the location permissions will have been correctly configured.
Camera
Next, we will be asked to configure the permissions for using the phone's camera. Click Activate Camera.
Gallery
Finally, you'll be asked to access your phone's photo gallery. Click Enable Gallery Access.
Once we have properly configured the three permissions, we can begin using the app correctly. Click Start Using the App.
Loading operations in the mobile app
How to change the status of a load in the mobile app
To change the status of a load, go to the My Loads tab. Click on the load you're interested in.
Click Change status.
We'll be asked to download a cargo confirmation document. Click Continue.
**If you wish to change the status from Assigned to Dispatched and do not have the Operator, Trailer, and Tractor data, you will be asked to enter that data to continue with the status change.
The operator and equipment components will display a list of available equipment and options. (Alternatively, you can leave them as plain text.)
How to upload cargo documents in the mobile app
To change the status of a cargo, go to the My Cargo tab. Click on the cargo you're interested in.
Click the Documents button (paperclip icon).
And we select whether we want to save a file on our device or take a snapshot with our phone's camera.
We select the type of document we're uploading and click Upload Document.
POD
The application has a POD tab on the My Loads screen. This displays all loads with the status Unloaded, with or without a POD.
Loads without a POD will be listed as Pending, and those with a POD will be listed as Completed.
Attaching the POD (Proof of Delivery) is a mandatory requirement to complete a load. This document can be attached to the load in this section.
How to use the load chat in the mobile app
In the first section of the app's main menu, you'll find the Messages section. This allows you to directly contact the Fr8app Collaborators team to discuss any issues related to a specific load.
When you access the main view, you'll see all your currently active loads. Select the load you're interested in.
Within a specific load, we can start a conversation about topics related to that load, and it will be reflected in all profiles involved in the platform for that specific carrier (Collaborators and Carriers).
You can also access the load chat in the My Loads list using the chat button for the load of interest.
Marketplace in the Mobile App
How to Filter Loads in the Mobile App's Marketplace
In the third section of the app's main menu, you'll find the Marketplace section. This allows you to view all the loads posted on the marketplace and submit rates for those you're interested in.
If you want to perform a specific search, click the filter button in the upper left corner of the screen.
Select all the requirements you want the loads to meet to be displayed and click Search.
Smart Filters
You can also set filters entered on the Market Filters screen as smart filters, so they remain available on the Market screen. You can configure them to receive notifications when loads with the requirements configured in these filters are posted. Simply enter a name for the filter and select Make Smart Filter.
How to submit a rate in the mobile app Marketplace
Select the interest rate you want to submit the rate to and click Submit Rate.
Enter the rate you want to offer, accept the authorized agent's terms and conditions, and click Submit Rate.
