Click the last button on the left side, Settings, then the second tab at the top, Users.
A list of all users associated with the Carrier account will be displayed.
How to make a new user in FleetRocket
Only Carrier account users with the Administrator role have permission to add a new user.
Click the last button on the left side, Settings, then the second tab at the top, Users.
This will display a list of all users associated with the Carrier account.
Click the Add User button, just below the Users tab.
Fill in all the corresponding fields, as well as the Roles that will be assigned, and click Save.
User roles in FleetRocket
For Carrier account users, there are different types of roles for managing information related to the carrier account.
All of these users have access to information related to the carrier's loads, but they vary in permissions and notifications.
Account Administrator
Refers to an administrator user within the carrier account. Their permissions are as follows:
- Create, edit, and delete users and operators from the carrier account.
- Does not receive load notifications.
- View account Settings.
- Create and edit inventory (Tractors, Dry vans, Flatbeds, Reefer containers, Rabons, and Tortons).
- Assign driver and equipment (Trailer and Truck - Dry vans, Flatbeds, Reefer containers, Tortons, and Rabons, depending on their inventory).
Accountant
Refers to a non-administrator user within the carrier account. Their permissions are as follows:
This type of user does NOT receive load notifications.
- All carrier roles can update load statuses.
- Create, edit, and delete carrier account operators.
- Assign drivers and equipment (Trailers and trucks - Dry vans, Flatbeds, Reefer containers, Tortons, and Rabons depending on their inventory).
- Create and edit inventory (Tractors, Dry vans, Flatbeds, Reefer containers, Rabons, and Tortons).
Dispatcher
Refers to a non-administrator user focused on tasks related to dispatch (assigning drivers, tractors, trailers) and load operations. The following permissions apply:
- All carrier roles can update load statuses.
- Create, edit, and delete from the carrier account operators.
- Assign drivers and equipment (Trailer and Truck - Dry van, Flatbed, Reefer containers, Torton, and Rabon depending on your inventory).
- Create and edit inventory (Tractors, Dry van, Flatbed, Reefer containers, Rabon, and Torton).
- Receive notifications when a segment is assigned to the carrier.
- Receive notifications when segment information is updated.
- Receive notifications when a segment is canceled.
- Receive notifications when a trailer, truck, or driver has not yet been assigned a few hours before pickup (24h, 12h, 4h before pickup).
POD Manager
Refers to a user within the carrier account who receives notifications when the POD document has not been uploaded hours after unloading, and can upload the POD themselves.
- All carrier roles can update load statuses.
- Create, edit, and delete operators from the carrier account.
- Assign drivers and equipment (Trailer and Truck - Dry van, Flatbed, Reefer containers, Torton, and Rabon depending on your inventory).
- Create and edit inventory (Tractors, Dry van, Flatbed, Reefer containers, Rabons, and Tortons).
- Receives notifications when the segment has been unloaded and there is no POD (2h, 6h, and 10h after unloading).
How to edit a user in FleetRocket
You can only edit a user if you have the Account Administrator role.
You can only edit the following fields: First Name, Last Name, Username, and Mobile Phone. You can also edit whether the user is in Active status and the user Roles.
Click the last button on the left side, Settings, then click the second tab from the top, Users.
This will display a list of all users associated with the carrier account.
Identify the user and click the Edit button.
Edit the required fields, statuses and/or roles and click Save.
How to delete a user in FleetRocket
Only carrier account users with the Account Administrator role have permission to delete a new user.
Click the last button on the left side, Settings, then the second tab at the top, Users.
This will display a list of all users associated with the carrier account.
Identify the user and click on the Delete button.
How to update a user's email in FleetRocket
Carrier user emails cannot be edited.
If the carrier wishes to reset their password using an email address they no longer have access to, they must:
Add a new carrier user with an email address they have access to. (See above).
Then delete the old user whose email address they no longer have access to.
